Our shell Grit is popular because it is a mix of fine-medium sizing, making it easier for hens to ingest.
Essential for hard shells and the safety & health of your poultry, we recommend to leave it out in a separate bowl for best results & ease of monitoring.
Shell Grit contains higher levels of Calcium to assist in firm eggshells than other Grits & are cleaned from pollutants.
We recommend not to rely on feeding your hens shells back to them as it is a bi-product & the Calcium level in the egg shell has been depleted over time. Additional calcium supplements will need to be added to the diet.
